Monday April 12th 2004

It was pouring when we got down to midway, and we had to timeout until around 8pm.

Structure: Devoted everyone to interior walls today, boarded up most of the inside walls. Deco can now work on the interior finishes. TODO: Bad weather postponed our building of the open book frame, finish up building interior walls, reinforce well

Electrical: Tripped the breaker. We should invest in our own circuit breaker TODO: Sweep booth for waterproofing.

Decor: Jack is all glued up and ready to be mounted.

Game: Game stand is done, blocks are almost done, ready to be painted. TODO: Build the frame for the game. Xiaoxian must draw fire engine. Paint fire engine, mount game boxes onto game wall, wire switches.

Sunday April 11th 2004

Weather wasn't as bad as expected, and progress was not hindered by poorer weather.

Structure: Roof is up. Book spine almost completely done (just got to put it up). TODO: Put up all interior walls, put up book spine.

Electrical: Nearly everything is done. Interior lighting is complete, exterior lights have all been installed. TODO: Attaching light on well, mounting exterior lighting, covering all switches and receptacles with faceplates.

Decor: Painting of book spine partially done. Added details to the walls. "Made" "pies". Wrapped up the well and hill (exterior). TODO: Add details to interior walls, put up pre-fabricated items.

Game: Sorted out fire effect. TODO: Wire up frame, attach boxes, settle lighting issues.

Saturday April 10th 2004

Good progress today. We're still ahead of schedule, and at this pace should be done with everything but decor by the end of Sunday. The weather was really good as well. Going to rain tomorrow though, but we're not going to let that dampen our spirits.

Structure: Pitched roof is up. Half of the walls are in. TODO: Finish roof, book frame, hill and well, book spine.

Electrical: Wiring mostly done. Interior lighting nearly done. TODO: Finish all internal lighting and wiring, finish external lighting.

Decor: Stanzas are almost done, just some finishing touches. Continued with some "prefabrication" and gluing of items together. Fireplace done. Cloth for well and hill (exterior) painted. TODO: Finish all stanzas, cut, draw and paint deco for games, touch up on walls, finish gluing all decor parts.

Game: Frame done, boxes housing the fans done. TODO: Wire up frame, attach boxes, settle lighting issues.

Friday April 9th 2004

Very ahead of schedule... the roof was slated to be up on Saturday evening but they were put in tonight. Good work everybody!

Structure: Walls are up, modular roofing is up.

Electrical: N/A

Decor: Glued parts of Jack, Grandfather's clock and and stanzas.

Game: Prototype box built and tested.
